A peeping Tom rigged a tanning bed so (female) adults and children alike could be watched and filmed by him. This is bad taste, and quite common. He deserves a lesson. He probably needs some therapy. From the story below, it seems they don’t even prosecute him for peeping and filming adults. For that transgression he probably would receive a deserved and measured punishment.
The punishment for violating the privacy of adults is negligible compared to the draconian child porn prison terms he faces. For peeping and filming minors, he is likely to suffer enormous and disproportional punishment. Decades for each count of child pornography "production" could add up to a century.
The victims did not even notice they were filmed. So they did not suffer great harm (except for the Voodoo theory of child porn victimization). No, I am not saying that there should be no punishment.
But does it make sense to punish him as strictly as for child kidnapping for ransom?
- Do you prefer your child to be secretly watched and filmed by a shy immature pervert or be kidnapped?
- Don’t you prefer your kid to be secretly filmed on the tanning bed 100 times, then to suffer one single instance of kidnapping? I would be more concerned about the cancer risk from 100 tannings.
Wouldn’t you rather have your kid secretly filmed on a tanning bed then to fall victim to any of the following
- The neighborhood gang extorting an adolescent’s or child’s lunch money
- School bullies sticking a kid’s head in the toilet or beating the child (even if only lightly)
- Drunk drivers running over children on the street
- Bicycle robbers that dangerously push children off bicycles
- Dog owners that don’t keep their dogs leashed, locked, muzzled and thus get children bitten?
- A flash mob roaming the neighborhood, setting ablaze buildings
All the above crimes carry much lower penalties. So why does our perverted filming peeping Tom get so much higher penalties then those who truly endanger and traumatize our children?
This peeping Tom erred, committed a puerile immature mistake. Unlike many other victims of the child pornography witch hunt that are totally innocent
This peeping Tom is an example of compulsive people who might be helped to refrain from acting out their urges with real children, if they had easier access to legal child "pornography": depictions of harmless photos and videos of adolescents in tanning beds.
We can not know if he was interested in actual true children because we invented manipulative language to confuse on purpose, confuse adolescents with children

A young man got arrested for possession of child porn. A 12 year boy old masturbating. It is his own video he recorded himself when he was 12 years old. Mandatory minimum jail sentence: 2 years.
Think hard: maybe you took some indecend photos of yourself or your family album contans nunde photos mom took when you were a toddler. Burn them whild you still are out of jail!

Around Thanksgiving while my cousin was at work, his girlfriend decided to snoop around his house. She found videos in his closet and watched them. They were of a 12 year old boy masturbating. The girlfriend, understandably, freaked out and brought one of the tapes to the police and they promptly arrested my cousin and charged him with possession of child porn. Minimum mandatory sentence: 2 years, no tolerance. So as it turns out, the kid in those videos, it was my cousin. Yeah. He had taped himself masturbating multiple times as a kid and for whatever reason he held on to the tapes. He said he didn’t even remember having them but i doubt it. At any rate, creepy but innocent. Right? But guess what, the state where we live has a zero tolerance policy for child porn and despite the fact that they tore his house and computer apart and found nothing, there is still a minimum mandatory sentence of 2 years. We will soon find out what happens, but it is very possible that a man is about to go to jail for possessing porn videos of himself. - This is one of the extreme cases of the child porn witch hunt.
- Totally uselessly causing trauma in innocent people,
- huge expenses in legal fees,
- bogging up police and law enforcement capacity for nonsensical persecution
- Of course, the child porn prosecutions are meant to protect an innocent child "victim" from abuse. So 25 year old John Doe gets jailed to protect 12 year old John Doe from abusing himself? Or 12 year old John Doe gets protected from being re-victimized when 25 year old John Doe watches his own movie? Or 25 year old John Doe might have totally forgotten his old movie and not have watched it for a decade. Still, he needs to be jailed to be protected from victimization!? And of course, as a child abuser, he will most likely be raped in prison. How far has our logic and our legal system sunk.
- Most normal people would agree that this is excessive zeal. Of course, then the question arises: where should the limit be drawn?
- what kind of child porn should be punished?
- should possession of depictions of legal acts really be punished?
- Should people be punished for a video of child sexual activity that by all definitions was not abuse?
- And does the possession of computer files, that are nothing but 0′s and 1′s really get people into jail for years? The USA has a tradition of freedom of expression that are getting more encroached upon. Human Stupidity analyzes this on other posts.
- "Sticks and stones may break my bones (but words will never hurt me)". Should we not, in analogy, say: Sexual abuse may hurt me, but 0′s and 1′s in computer files will never hurt me. All this trauma could be avoided by scrapping all laws for possession. Punish abusers, not people who possess the photos.
- Almost all so called “child porn” in reality is “adolescent nudity” or consensual “sexual activities” of sexually active teenagers. We are not not aware of any deaths due to child porn production. Most child porn is totally harmless, like adolescents taking their own photos, or formerly legal 16 year old sex films made legally in Holland 30 years ago.
- On the other hand there was a death in the production of the following documentary: Beating Death Of Derrion Albert,16,Caught On Video as described in Nude adolescent photos: a Crime. Videos of lynching, killing, beating adolescents are legal Prime Time TV. Possession, production, and distributions are perfectly legal.
- I wish to get confirmation of this story from a reputable news agency or newspaper, instead of a hearsay report. But even if it were untrue, it could happen. It rings true. Similar things have happened, 15 year old girls get traumatized with sexting charges for harmless nude photos. So prosecuting an adult for the movies he took of himself 15 years ago, looks convincing and true

My cousin’s lawyer described it like this. The law is designed to chill and prevent the existence and purveyance of all child pornography. By merely possessing images of such things, the law argues, it is perpetuating the culture and ubiquity of child pornography. Hence, zero tolerance. My cousin would by no means be the first victim of these draconian laws. The lawyer said teenagers are routinely charged with the same laws for sending nude pics of themselves over their phones. Some commentators at reddit remarked that he is stupid for still being with that girl. But by conventional wisdom she acted correctly. She found heinous child porn of a 12 year old masturbating and reported it to police.

Mr. Emerson was a private practice physician. A series of unproven allegations by his adulterous wife, (and later by a female WalMart cashier) got him into jail, made him lose his medical license & practice, lose the children, obliged him to pay child support to his ex-wife. Without his medical license he was unable to pay child support and got $ 70 000 in debt with his adulterous wife. He lost his drivers license due to nonpayment of child support. Of course he could never see his daughter. Years later, when his then 15 year old daugher (who got spanked by her step father) wanted to move in with her father, he got another anonymous child abuse complaint regarding the 3 year old kid of his girl friend. Mr. Emerson spent multiple times in jail, lived with his father or friends as a favor, lived under a bridge, Over 10 years of ordeals. Life ruined. Because of accusations of an adulterous wife. And a legal system that suspended due process and inverted the burden of proof in most feminist issues like child sexual abuse, wife beating, child porn, etc.

Note that about half of the hundreds of married men who have contacted the Equal Justice Foundation have been charged with domestic violence or abuse after finding their wives were having an affair. Allegations of domestic violence or abuse are a standard tactic in a divorce today with virtually no recourse for the husband. Under current laws such false allegations are standard as they give the adulterous wife the house, the car, the kids, the bank account, and anything else she wants with no questions asked, i.e., due process is a thing of the past. She will also almost certainly receive child support even if the child(ren) prove not to be her husband’s. And there is no penalty for her perjury. |
