Human Stupidity: Irrationality, Self Deception

I think you will find that many people do not care much about older women having sex with teen boys it is older men having sex with teen girls that motivates people to get out the pitch forks.

Part of the reason for this double standard could be that people in the anglosphere may still have trouble recognizing that young girls have sexual desires of thier own (I remember when I was in school many girls lusted after male high school teachers too).

Another contributing factor could be the Cheater Detection Mechanism whereby the older man is seen as a low status male enjoying access to females that his position on the dominance hierarchy normally would not allow…while as with the young boy having sex with an older woman…hey we have an alpha in the making!

Futhermore many people advance the idea that girls and boys react differently to sex with an adult…well duh if you give the boy positive reinforcement (you scored the teacher!) and give the girl negative reinforcement (you let that disgusting creep molest you!) what do you expect? What if we told a young girl “at 15 you already are making grown men fall for you!” how would things be then?

Sending a strong message that sex with teen girls is “wrong” may lead to many kind and considerate men refraining from engaging in the activity while many of the ones that engage in it will be jerks. Sending a message that sex with teen boy is not that harmful to women may lead to some kind and considerate ones engaing it while the considerate men are not “cockblocking” the inconsiderate men from sleeping with teen girls. This situation then only helps reinforce the double standard.
